When a flat rate is the right rate
FedEx One Rate charges by packaging size, not by weight or distance, up to 50 lb. That is a gift for dense products going far: a 4 lb candle set from Miami to Seattle costs the same as one going to Orlando. It is a bad deal for a 6 oz item going to Atlanta, where USPS Ground Advantage is cheaper. We know both rate tables and we pick the cheaper one per order unless you tell us otherwise.

A FedEx service that charges a flat price based on the FedEx packaging you use, not the weight (up to 50 lb) or the distance within the contiguous U.S. Delivery is typically two to three business days from Miami; overnight One Rate options exist at higher flat prices.
No. It wins for dense items going far and loses for light items going near, where USPS Ground Advantage is usually cheaper. We can rate-shop every order automatically and use One Rate only when it is the better price, or use it always if you want a single predictable rate.
No. Shipments run on our carrier accounts at carrier rates, billed per shipment on your invoice. If you have a negotiated FedEx account you want to use, tell us at onboarding.
